Ring Sizes
What do I have for ring size?
Here are some tips:
If you are unsure of your ring size, you can either go to a goldsmith and get your size measured with a ring size or measure a ring as you already have and that fits nicely. ring size
Here's how: Put your ring over a ruler and read the inside dimensions in mm. The number of mm corresponds to your ring size. For example, if the ring is 18mm in the inside diameter, your ring size is 18.
You can also measure the inside diameter with a slider. Be careful, one mm corresponds to an entire ring size. It is important to measure a ring that is about the same width as the new ring. Because a wide ring usually requires a larger size than a narrow one. If you do not have a ring to measure, you can measure the circumference of your finger using a tape measure, and then divide it by 3.14 (pi).
Example: You have measured your finger circumference to 53 mm. 53 / 3.14 = 16.9. Your ring size is in this case 17.
A good tip is to measure your fingers in the morning and evening. Depending on the weather and the time of day, your fingers may vary in size. Remember to choose a size where you have to fight a bit over the knot so that the ring does not fall off if you are wet or cold about your hands.
1. Take a piece of string or cardboard and wrap around the finger that you want to measure.
2. Select the points where the two ends meet.
3. Measure the liner or folder with a ruler.
